(Larson, the playwright and composer, died of an aortic aneurysm the night before RENT's first preview.)Before moving to New York in December 2001 to pursue an acting career, Link fronted the critically acclaimed Boston power-pop band Miss Fortune (MissF.com), which formed in 1999. Previously, he sang and played drums for several bands in his hometown of Seattle, including a popular groove-rock outfit called Salamander.

Link holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Washington. He joins the cast of RENT after having spent a year on the national tour of Elton John and Tim Rice's "Aida", the Disney-produced rock musical based on Verdi's opera. Link's current contract with the Tony-winning RENT runs through February 1, 2004.
